Loro Ciuffenna is a particular medieval tuscan village surroudend by the green hills and crossed by a river coming down from the impressive Pratomagno.
The nice village is in a central area of Tuscany: 50 km from Florence, 30 km. From Siena and 20 km from Arezzo. Very interesting to visit is the old mill that still today grids the wheat for the two bakers of the village. The atmosphere you breath is of a good old days time, the people of the village meet, in the twilight, under the open gallery near the ancient clock tower, waiting together the time to go to bed.
In the high part the village is among the hills where are villas, one of these is the “Casa del Checchi”, built by Checchi Himself in front of a wonderful view which allows to see alla the arno valley, the Amiata mountains lapped by the air of Maremma sea.
The Checchi flat consists of two double bedrooms (4 beds in all) well furnished with fine ancient pieces, a sitting room with a complete forniture, double bathrooms, garage and a green garden whose access is from the sitting room.
This area is well known alla over the world: famous people like Ferragamo, Sting and Russel Crowe live there for a large part of the year. Important fashion industries like Prada, Gucci, Dolce e Gabbana have their factories in the neighbour, and their out-lets open to the most exigent customers. As tipical all over the Tuscany, you’ll find festivals and parties in the square.
