The "Casellino" farm is located at 25 km from Florence (30 minutes by car) on the "PUTTO" hill of Chianti with at its bottom river "Sieve". The apartment available for the stay of Italian or foreign hosts is at the first floor of a villa, annexed to the small farm, constructed in the half of the 50s. The garden in front of the house, surrounded by cypresses is part of the apartment. The house is made up of a living room with a great and characteristic fireplace a wide divan and two comfortable armchairs. The two french windows look on the garden and the vineyards that encircle the "Casellino". An other french window is opened on the terrace, wich in the summer evenings is used as dining room. The furniture comes from the 40s. The oil paintings pictures on the walls represent views of Florence and its hills. Framed on the walls of the rooms the manifesto-prizes of the floreal art, obtained from the owners of the farm in wine or agricultural competitions in Italy and in foreign countries. A great bedroom with a window and a french window is opened on the terrace. It has a double bed (or two single beds) and a bed for a child from 0 to 5 years. The closet-bookcase, the table and the beds are 40s style. The windows have stretch with flowers. The second bedroom, with two single beds (or double bed), opens with one french window on the terrace. The kitchen has two characteristic closets with carvings, a central table, gas stove with oven and a window looking on the vineyards.
The weekly rent includes the consumptions, the linen and everything is necessary for the stay. The final cleaning is € 45. The house must be left in the same state in which it is delivered. At the moment of the income, a deposit of € 500 is required, it will be given back at the departure. If the foreign hosts wish to make a experience of Italian language or lessons of kitchen (with dinner at Roberta's house) they can ask for it. Bottles of wine and Chianti oil of the Casellino farm are sold by the owner who personally all the aspects of the production. The apartment is 30 minutes from Florence and 2 km from Rufina. The train from Rufina will take you door in 25 minutes to the central Florence station. Right in the center of Florence to little steps from public square of the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi. Rufina has a valuable wine cellar in the villa "Spalletti", whose facade is attributed to Michelangelo. All it close, the restaurant "Grazzini" famous for the florentine steak, tennis fields, gym, bar, supermarket, stores of all kinds, post office, banks, gas station and a dive in an olympic swimming pool at 7 km from the Casellino. With a walk of 20 minutes, you can arrive to the Vetrice lake, the best place for trouts fishing. There is a bar, pizzeria and restaurant.
If you want ride, you can reach in ten minutes the riding school of the Vallebona farm holidays.
We reccomend to visit the Casentino passing from the Consuma (1000 mt.) where you can visit historical countries like Poppi with its beautiful castle, Badie and Arezzo, native land of Pier della Francesca and there the churches and the places where you can observe his frescoes.
